Kitchen Configurator

Kitchen Configurator

In the IKEA Kitchen Configurator project, I worked as one of two UX designers within a multidisciplinary team, guiding the project from blank canvas to the delivery of its first MVP. Our mission was to streamline the online kitchen buying experience, eliminating the need for customers to visit physical stores or seek assistance from staff—a departure from IKEA's traditional kitchen planning process.

Our approach began with comprehensive analysis, including store visits, meeting customers and examination of existing store solutions, to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement. We then collaborated closely with the team and stakeholders to sketch user flows and validate design possibilities. Prototypes were developed and subjected to user testing, with design iterations informed by continuous stakeholder and user feedback.

The culmination of our efforts was the successful launch of the MVP across multiple countries.
